Talk about abandoned! On a rainy Valentine’s Day 2019 we checked Bodie State Historic Park’s web page and were greeted to this:

The public phone line is currently unavailable
Highway 270 is currently closed due to snow.
Cottonwood Canyon Road is also closed due to snow.
Bodie Road to Aurora is currently impassable.
Motorists should expect the worst conditions and be prepared when traveling in areas subject to hazardous conditions.
