It’s All About the Air

Air has been a hot topic recently. In addition to smoke and moderate-to-unhealthy air quality throughout California from a number of fires (including the state’s biggest ever,) the air, itself, has has been quite different at Southern California beaches this summer. Normally known for pleasant, semi-arid weather, the dew point has ranged from 60 to 85% this August — and the humidity isn’t pleasant.

While many of us earthlings focus on ground conditions, air travel is at its height and certainly a popular topic of discussion. From flight attendants calling for new rules after injuries from out-of-control comfort pets on flights, to the Friday evening theft of a Horizon Air turboprop plane by an airline employee in Seattle, stories about air travel are constantly in the news. Let’s not forget Space Force (billed as a brand new branch of the US military dedicated to fighting wars in space,) drone package deliveries, drone wars, privatized flights to Mars and so much more!

All this talk about air can make you dizzy. It’s time for some good, old-fashioned flights of fancy.
