Almond Blossom Trail Weekend

In San Jose they describe it as a rural paradise. Located northwest of Sacramento, Capay Valley is made up of towns Guinda, Esparto, Rumsey, Brooks, Madison and Capay. Unparalleled in beauty during the spring are the  blossoms on almond trees. Celebrate not one, but two destinations and festivals showing off their almonds this weekend!

  • 1. CAPAY VALLEY ALMOND FESTIVAL Feb. 23, 2014  Take a drive along the Blossom Trail to Festival Headquarters in Esparto where there’s live music, a car show, almond baking contest and olive oil tasting;  Rumsey where there’s an art show and organic farm prodcuts;  Guinda where some delicious foods are being served such as almond ice cream and Grammy Wyatt’s Almond Rocha; Brooks with Cache Creek Casino, two vineyards and an olive oil press; and Capay with live music and dancing. espartoregionalchamber.com
  • 2. RIPON ALMOND BLOSSOM FESTIVAL Feb. 21-23, 2014  The entire weekend is made for fun with a carnival, parade on Saturday and festival contests and music.
