
If you have recently traveled on Goldenwest Street in Huntington Beach, you’ve probably done a double-take seeing one of the biggest U.S. flags flying high atop two 85-foot tall Washingtonia robusta palm trees on oil man and landscape contractor Ron Brindle’s property. Spectacularly illuminated at night with red, white and blue lights, the patriotic former Navy Seabee’s flag can be seen far away. More than 20-feet wide and 30-feet long, it was originally given to the parents of a deceased serviceman.
