In China an expected 3.6 billion trips take place during the 40-day Chinese New Year.  In California, America’s Pacific Rim gateway is home to nearly six millions Asian residents who will celebrate Chinese /Lunar New Year here at home or abroad. The popularity of celebrations such as the Fire Dragon Dance (in photo) continues to grow  as  Asian-American communities and businesses embrace their roots. While celebrations vary slightly between Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodians and Koreans, there’s some cultural overlay and coming together to celebrate. Parades, dragon dances, beauty contests, concerts, fireworks and food are a few of the  attractions during the Lunar New Year. The public is welcome to attend these upcoming events!
