CLOVIS, CALIF. — ClovisFest October 29 & 30, 2016 includes the spectacular ascension of hot air balloons. Get your camera ready and start tapping, clicking or snapping photos. Another event with plenty of hot air is the annual Cathedral City Festival of Balloons November 18-20. It offers tethered (100-foot) balloon rides for a price, while ClovisFest does not. However, ClovisFest has plenty of fun attractions such as AIA San Joaquin Sandcastle Competition, IronHorse Robotics Team demonstrating their world champion robots, beer garden and Clovis Police Department’s Text-While-Driving course! Hot air balloon festivals abound in California destinations — Sonoma, Temecula and Ripon, to name a few.
