Birding Festivals

Monterey Bay Birding Festival launches the fall birding fest season this weekend on Sept. 23-25, 2016. Free family day activities are open to all, while field trips, workshops and lectures are ticketed events that include looking at condors, learning to take pictures of birds, and water trips that include kayaking and cruises such as Elkhorn Slough Safari. In addition to Yolo Basin tours on the 2nd Saturday October through April, seasonal bat tours at various locations, and wetlands tours throughout the state, the anticipated Sandhill Crane Festival in Lodi and California Swan Festival in Marysville are set for November.
