Blythe Bluegrass Festival roars into town Jan 16-18, 2015 with plenty of mountain music to match the mountains seen in the distance from the Colorado River Fairgrounds where the annual festival takes place. The Colorado River setting is the perfect place to see the Lonesome River Band perform, as well as Town Mountain, the Bluegrass Mountaineers, and other bands filling the three day roster of this popular event that launches the bluegrass festival season in California. Other bluegrass festivals to look forward to include Huck Finn Jubilee, the largest Bluegrass jam in the world on Father’s Day Weekend in Ontario, Temecula Bluegrass Festival, Cloverdale Fiddle Festival, Grass Valley Bluegrass Festival on Father’s Day Weekend, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and Topanga Fiddle, Banjo Contest and Folk Festival.
