Bugs & crawly critters are fascinating–and they can be a nuisance.  They can bug you to death, and sometimes just won’t leave you alone. Household pests such as fleas, ants, spiders, termites, silverfish, grasshoppers, bees, wasps, moths and earwigs are just a few of them that can have you running and ducking for cover, or worse yet,  rushing to your nearest Home Depot store for products to kill them.  If you lighten up, there’s a lot you can learn about the bug world–how nature’s creatures look, act, eat and even mate. When you go outside, they’re out there waiting and they’ll usually find you before you discover them.

On the flip side,  people will travel distances to enjoy watching bugs, frogs and critters do their thing. Among the most famous events  is the famous Jumping Frog Jubilee in Angels Camp each May.  Another jumping frog contest is held in Victorville in June at the Huck Finn Jubilee.
