Each October the Oakland Black Cowboy Association hosts the Black Cowboy Parade and Festival, a popular one day event featuring horses, trick roping and more.

The cowboy season didn’t end when national Cowboy Day did back in July. California is cowboy country, celebrating with rodeos, festival and parades throughout the year.
