Fall season offers a special reason to get out and explore California. With free admissions to a variety of attractions and experiences, now’s the time to get planning!

  • Free Fishing Days  September 8, 2012 -Free Fishing Days provide a great, low-cost way to give fishing a try.  While all fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect, there are two days each year when anyone can fish without purchasing a fishing license. Go check it out – see dfg.gov
  • Free National Parks  admission  September 29 and November 10-12, 2012.  Many national parks are free but some charge a fee. Several times each year you can get in free to those that charge. In California they include Yosemite National Park, the fabulous Joshua Tree NP, and many more. See: nps.gov
  • Free Smithsonian Museum admission tickets for admission to dozens of California museums on September 29, 2012 are available. See:  smithsonian.com/museumdaylive
