Claremont Hotel in Berkeley
When a public relations firm, BLAZE, sent me a release about beating the heat at Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, Calif., I refused to think about another heat wave, having survived two in May. Instead, I thought about the cool-looking, majestic hotel on the hill. When you visit Berkeley you can’t miss the Claremont. It’s one of the city’s landmarks and icons.
Just in case it does get hot again (and it probably will,) the hotel is offering a Beat the Heat package through Sept. 1, 2014. It includes guest room accommodations, parking and the facilities fee with access to the three mineral-treated outdoor pools, spa facilities, fitness equipment, and wireless internet, among others.
