SAN DIEGO, CALIF.–19th Annual Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp takes place on Fat Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 5 to 11 p.m.

New to this year’s extravaganza in the authentic, historic Gaslamp — in & out privileges for Mardi Gras celebrants! You asked and they listened. With incredible night clubs and dinner clubs throughout the Gaslamp, guests can now mingle, mix and move throughout the Quarter with ease.  Envision an immersive Mardi Gras celebration with an emphasis on a  live entertainment menu featuring an electrifying talent lineup. Zydeco, blues and rock bands, electronic and house music DJs, dance crews, acrobats and visual artists appear and perform on four captivating stages throughout the Gaslamp Quarter party. Belly Up Productions and Peter Oliver Productions (Gator by the Bay) partnered this year with  Gaslamp Quarter Association to create a musical format that eclipses anything offered on the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter in many years. Tickets into the fantasy world of masks, illusions, entertainment and beads will be $40 in advance and $50 at the gates; attendees must be 21 years or older and have a valid photo ID to enter. See: gaslamp.org or call (619) 233-5227.
