Dog Friendly Coronado Beach
Once you’ve visited Coronado Island in San Diego metro region, you need no excuse or reason to return. It’s understood that it is a great place worthy of going back to again and again.
1. Best beach
In 2012 Dr. Beach selected Coronado as his top beach in the nation. Boy, did that make locals proud! That’s the first reason to visit Coronado — best beach.
2. Dog friendly
Coronado not only has a dog beach, but it also has a dog surfing contest, dog-friendly hotels and plenty to howl about. Our favorite dog-friendly hotel is Loews Coronado Bay Resort, the main sponsor of the surfing dog contest (in Imperial Beach) for many years.
3. Fire rings, Free Shuttle, Ferry
The third reason to visit Coronado is its amenities ranging from free concerts in the park to fire rings at the beach, free summer shuttle which offers rides from most places on the island to ferry landing, and the ferry to San Diego, which takes you directly downtown. It’s fun!
