Every Traveler Should Have a Comfortable Bed

Four Seasons is the first hospitality company to offer guests a custom-designed bed.  Too soft? We’ll fix that. Too hard? We’ll make your bed softer. They place inserts on top of the mattress to custom create a bed to your liking.  In partnership with Simmons Bedding Company, the mattress is designed with three unique topper options—Signature, Signature Plush or Signature Firm. For those of us with bad backs (about 85% of American adults,) this seems like a much-needed amenity long overdue at hotels. However, not everyone can afford Four Seasons prices. Here’s why:

FOUR SEASONS CALIFORNIA PRICES MARCH 13, 2014, taxes, room fees, parking not included
Beverly Wilshire starts at $675
Four Seasons Los Angeles starts at $495
Palo Alto, Silicon Valley starts at $565
San Diego Aviara sold out, usually starts at $395
San Francisco sold out, usually starts at $645
Santa Barbara starts at $445
Westlake Village starts at $299
