Fruit Festival Weekend

If you like pears (as in pear pie, pictured), blackberries (baked in blackberry pie), citrus and even tomatoes, you’ll be glad to know that there’s a festival waiting for you this weekend. Here’s the info:
- COURTLAND Pear Fair – includes an awesome parade and pear perfection in dishes and foods sold during the festival.
- TRINIDAD Blackberry Festival – Westhaven Blackberry Festival includes sales of fresh blackberry pies, jams, and berry delights!
- SANTA PAULA Citrus Festival – Scaled back this year to a carnival, there’s bound to be some delicious lemonade for sale. Limoneira usually has a booth, and they’re known as the region’s premier citrus grower!
- OXNARD Salsa Festival – includes the music, the dance and the food!
- SACRAMENTO Sacratomato – at Sutter’s Fort celebrates a juicy, red fruit that the region grows in abundance.
