The annual Ripon (California) Almond Blossom Festival happens the last full week in February, celebrating the region’s established position as major almond supplier to the nation and world. Taking place Feb. 20-22, 2015, many of the nutty antics are back. There’s a diaper derby for baby crawlers, a fun nut run for all ages, the fantastic parade filled with community pride on Feb. 21, and the carnival that starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday at Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon. Throughout the week look for the nutty mascot dressed like an almond. The festival is produced by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce–thanks for making almonds a delight!
