The event is a prom, only participants wear swimsuits, silly hats and sunglasses, and they have fun splashing, dancing under the light of a tiki torch to DJs spinning tunes, and slurping up refreshments such as ice cream and delicious, cold non-alcoholic beverages poolside.

Fontana’s Aquatic Center officially opened for the summer and recently provided a big splash for high school students attending the water prom. How do you top all that excitement?  Fontana Days! The annual celebration that takes place May 30 – June 2, 2013 includes a parade with Fontana High School grad, Sammy Hagar (Van Halen singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer), serving as grand marshal on June 1 at 11 a.m. There’s a carnival and lots of great concerts, contests, a half marathon and the incredible Hen Derby. If you haven’t gotten the picture just yet, Fontana is all about fun and is looking straight ahead to a summer filled with festivals, concerts and more. Dive in!!
