Halloween decorations on Naples Island homes come in twos. Isn’t use of  two items in an arrangement a faux pas of decorating? That’s what many of us have been told. In these Halloween house designs, two seems to work just fine.  Here’s why:

  • ONE: Three Dog Night said “One is the loneliest number.”
  • TWO: The symmetrical placement of two items creates a sense of order and balance.
  • THREE: Rule of Three (AKA Rule of Thirds in photography) is a theory that odd numbers are more appealing, memorable, and effective than even-numbered pairings. This “rule” is used in architecture, graphics and interior design.
  • EVEN OR ODD?  In Feng Shui, odd numbers give Yang energy and even numbers, Yin. Yang expands and moves. Yin contracts and condenses.

If you’re looking for a place that has decorating flair, be sure not to miss Naples Island during the holidays!
