Curtain Call on Hollywood Park Race Track and 75 Sensational Years

Born out of the Golden Age of Hollywood and key players — Walt Disney, Jack L. Warner (Warner Brothers,) Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Sam Goldwyn, George Jessel, and some 600 celebrities, producers, directors and financiers– Hollywood Park Race Track opened on June 10, 1938 and is closing its doors tomorrow night after the final race on Dec. 22, 2013.  The 238-acre property will be transformed into up to 2,995 residential units, 500,000 SF of retail, 75,000 SF of office, hotel, Card Club, and 25 acres of parks in a master-planned community.
