Northern California rules this weekend when it comes to County Fairs. If you’re not there, you’re square! From princesses & queens to horses, hogs, frogs and cows, the county fair is one big WOW!  There are five fantastic fairs through Sunday, May 19, 2013, where you can feel the thrill of carnival rides, eat BBQ foods, win jumping frog contests, watch destruction derbies, see buckin’ broncos and listen to some amazing sounds. Thunderous roars, hums, snorts and squeals delight the crowd…oh, don’t forget about those odors & scents! Popcorn, cotton candy, hickory smoke, hay and barnyard-animal smells waft through the air or permeate it, depending on where you are. The county fair includes craft and cooking contests, Blue Ribbon cattle & livestock, and outstanding youth who are our hope of the future. A county fair is the most wholesome form of family entertainment to be had.
