With so many beautiful places to be inspired, California churches and organizations have stepped out of the buildings and into nature for Easter services. Beaches, Bowls and Mountain Tops are a few of the finest settings to watch the sun come up during the holiday coming up this week.

Here are a few inspirational settings to attend a service:

  • Carlsbad Flower Fields – service at 6:30 a.m.
  • Hollywood Bowl – annual service. Bring a picnic and stick around after the free service at 11 a.m.
  • Lover’s Point Park / Beach – Pacific Grove at 6 a.m.
  • Mt. Helix – La Mesa annual tradition with shuttles to the amphitheater and service at 6:30 a.m.
  • Yosemite Valley – Easter Day Sunrise Service at Lower Pines Campground, 7 a.m.
  • Point Loma – Best views of San Diego provide backdrop for Easter Sunrise Service at Cabrillo National Monument, 6:30 a.m.
  • Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, San Diego inspired concert 2-3 p.m.
