On Easter Sunday stars Al Williams & the Jazz Society (left), extraordinary singer Barbara Morrison (right), and the Combined Mass Choir come together to inspire with their musical performances at Sonrise Jazz Service in Carson. The free event open to the public on April 5, 2015 is an outdoor service at 6:30 a.m. on the grounds of the First Lutheran Church of Carson, 19707 S. Central Ave. The community celebration is sponsored by The Combined Churches of the African Descent Strategy of the Southwest California Synod. The First Lutheran Church of Carson is also hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, Noon-2 p.m. for toddlers to age 12 years. Don’t forget to bring a basket!
