Jazz Season Openers
Jazz fans have an exciting year ahead in 2014 with fantastic talent bringing old favorites and new compositions. Among the artists appearing in recent times are left to right: Jeff Hamilton, Stanley Clarke, Jeanette Harris and jazz greats on right.
One of the special annual treats next week in Eureka is the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival. Although Santa Cruz held a festival recently, we always think of Humboldt County’s event as the reminder to update our jazz calendar. Right after that on April 3 – 6, 2014, over 35 female jazz artists perform at a Dinah Shore Weekend jazz festival in Palm Springs. It’s warm in the desert and getting hotter as the 2014 Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival at Indian Canyon Resort combines beautiful music and weather to launch a jazz summer you’ll remember.
