If you want to talk like a pirate then you better learn sea shanties, songs from days of yore. Held each year at Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco, this free event is more than entertaining as songs often unfold with lyrics describing life’s situations over 100 years past. Held at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, the pier stage performances are free while music presented on board two of the museum’s ships, Balclutha and Eureka, requires a small fee to listen to and watch up close. The event takes place on Sept. 12, 2015.
