What’s funky,  feisty, and a whole lot of fun? Art Fiesta–it’s the annual free admission art exposition hosted by ChiVAA (Chico Visual Arts Alliance) at the historic Matador Motel. What a perfect venue to celebrate arts, culture and community! The Spanish Mission-style setting lends to festive dancing, entertainment and art that you can browse and buy. Held on Mother’s Day Weekend, head for 1934 Esplanade in Chico, http://chivaa.org/art-fiesta/. Other fun events coming up in Chico include the annual California Nut Festival in April.

Here is the schedule Art Fiesta:
Opening Reception: Friday, May 10, 2013 4-9 p.m.
Art, Dance & Music Fest: Saturday, May 11, 2013 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Bring Your Mother to the Fiesta: Sunday, May 12, 2013 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
