Merced Field of Honor
When volunteers of Merced Sunrise Rotary planned their first Field of Honor event several years ago, it was such an emotional and moving tribute to veterans that it has quickly become a tradition. In addition to Merced County’s Veteran’s Day Ceremony and Parade on Nov.11, 2017 at Bob Hart Square, you can still purchase a flag and see the spectacular field located at Merced College. Closing Ceremony takes place at the Field on Nov. 11.
MURRIETA: Another Field of Honor on display this Veterans Day is in Murrieta.
DIXON: Additional fields in California include Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon which hosts Wreaths Across America in December and Memorial Day Ceremony flags in May.
NEWPORT BEACH: Each Memorial Day week Exchange Club of Newport Harbor hosts Field of Honor.
This week Californians can participate in many Veterans Day events such as parades and ceremonies to honor veterans.
