PAICINCES, CALIF.–Photos show beautiful Paicines Ranch which hosts the  gourmet celebration, San Benito Olive Festival, this Saturday, October 19, 2013.  While most of us will miss the event, that’s no reason to miss seeing and staying at the ranch with its six cottages for accommodations, an event center for weddings, corporate events, family reunions, classes & workshops.  The 57 acre working ranch where cattle and lambs are raised for pastured meat,  also includes a horse ranch.

Restored historic buildings dating from the 1860’s are surrounded by Shona sculptures from Zimbabwe and a commissioned wind sculptor by Susan Pascal-Beran. More beautiful than any sculpture, however, are the red-tailed hawks, golden eagles and songbirds guests delight in watching on the grounds. Other wildlife include white-tailed deer, coyotes, and wild turkeys. If you’re looking for a place to relax and get away from the city, head for this treasured slice of country life 30 miles south of Gilroy, home of the Garlic Festival!   See: paicinesranch.com
