Russian River Rose Company opens its doors each spring, allowing the public to visit, see and smell the fragrant commercial rose gardens containing over 650 varieties of roses. Free-to-see gardens include the Rose History Trail, a Butterfly Garden, Iris Garden with over 100 types of Irises and the Perfume Distillery where fragrances and rose water is made and sold.

For those who want to immerse themselves in the flower experience there are demonstrations and docent led tours that educate the public about roses and garden topics. Open every weekend in April and May from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the heart of Sonoma wine country, be sure to add this special place to your list of stops along the wine trail. Most events are free while special garden teas, festivals, holidays and pre-arranged guided tours may charge a fee.   See: russian-river-rose.com
