Petaluma Butter and Eggs Days Parade

Published on: April 27, 2012

Though there are  many many festivals and fairs this weekend, if you find yourself saying, “Isn’t she the cutest little chick in town?”, you’re probably at the Petaluma Butter & Eggs Days Festival held on Saturday, April 28, 2012.  Day 1 includes the town parade and a day-long festival with food, music, vendors, themed contests and commemoration of Petaluma’s former distinction as the Egg Basket of the World during the early to mid-20th century. On Day 2, Sunday, April 29, stick around for the huge Antique Fair held semi-annually on the streets of Petaluma.

It used to be that when you visited Petaluma, you could smell that chicken smell in the air. For those who have had a chicken coop, been on a farm or purchased eggs at the farm, you know what we’re talking about.
