While Californians are fans of pigs each and every year at county fairs where pig races and births are top attractions, 2019 pays special tribute to them starting this week in Chinese New Year’s celebrations launching “The Year of the Pig.”

If you were born in 2019 or these years — 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 — then you are a Pig. Blessed with good fortune, Pigs might not stand out in a crowd but while others are talk and no action Pigs are the opposite. They love entertainment and also enjoy being able to hold solid objects in their hands. Materialism makes them feel secure, a motivation for working hard. Pigs are energetic & enthusiastic, even in boring jobs, but are willing to take positions of power and status.

  • Men born in Pig year are very focused, optimistic and gentle. Not the best with money, these cool-headed individuals are also gullible.
  • Women in Pig year are good with money, easy going and very social. They gain everyone’s trust but can forget to give others personal space. At home, they are highly organized.
