SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF. — Wow! Pink! Madonna Inn has hot pink tennis and basketball courts. The resort known for an event center that hosts beer and wine festivals has long held the reputation of tourist trap. People from around the world love to visit and see the garish bathrooms, dining room, and hotel rooms and suites with themes ranging from foo-foo flowers to a stone cave for the cave man. Founder Alex Madonna, who passed away in 2004 at the age of 85, is fondly remembered by family members who own and operate the resort.
