Tournament of Roses Fever

With the Tournament of Roses celebration just weeks away, there’s lots going on behind the scenes right now. Floats are being constructed, parties planned, transportation & participation arrangements finalized and tickets sold for special events & shows.

If it’s not enough just to see the fabulous Tournament of Roses celebration, you may be caught up in the Rose Fever! It’s happened to thousands of people who’ve made it a conviction to volunteer for this grand tradition.  Here’s a list of volunteer opportunities to check out.

Tournament of Roses

  • 10-time Grammy Award winner, Chaka Khan, is Grand Marshal of 130th Rose Parade on Jan.1, 2019. She’s scheduled to perform at the Parade Opening Spectacular.
  • The Ohio State Buckeyes and Washington Huskies play in the 105th Rose Bowl Game.
  • A new SIP & SAVOR celebration Dec.28-30, 2018 enhances the festival experience.
  • Equestfest in Burbank Dec.29 features horses appearing in the Parade.
  • Bandfest Dec.29-30 offers an awesome display of select Rose Parade marching bands from across the United States and around the world, including Canada, Costa Rica, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Sweden.
  • Rose Bowl Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Dec.31 honors Chicago Bears founder George Halas, former NFL offensive lineman Randall McDaniel, former Stanford head coach Pop Warner and former NFL quarterback Vince Young.
  • The free admission Rose Bowl Bash Dec.30-31 takes place at The Block in downtown Los Angeles.
  • Post Parade: A Showcase of Floats Jan.1-2, 2019, offers opportunities to see Tournament of Roses floats up close and is ideal for those who missed the parade.
