Santa Clara Revels in Glory of Super Bowl 50
While some still lament the fact that San Francisco 49ers left their namesake city, Santa Clara doesn’t look back. They are having a party— a big one! Super Bowl 50 takes place at the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Feb. 7, 2016, with the city hosting a series of festival events that start with the name, “Super Community”. This year it’s not just a tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 4, 2015, but its the Countdown to Kickoff Super Community Tree Lighting and Ice Rink. Then comes the Super Community Run, Super Community Ball, Super Community Concert and Fireworks, and Super Community Celebration. Throughout the Bay Area there are parties, exhibits and special events to celebrate Super Bowl 50. But Santa Clara certainly deserves bragging rights!
