Singing Valentines
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — The award-winning Voices of California (VoCal) choral group is preparing for the busiest day of the year when their members head out into the community and man phones for the annual Singing Valentines delivered on Feb. 13-14. The personalized gift you can purchase for someone you love helps the non-profit VoCal, an internationally-ranked men’s a capella chorus. Founded in 2010 as a chapter of the national Barbershop Harmony Society, the chorus exists so men can get out and sing in the community, competing and performing in the Greater Sacramento Area, throughout the western states and even internationally. Every year choruses from Sacramento and other locations in California send quartets around their home areas, delivering romantic serenades to surprised and pleased sweethearts.
