Smithsonian Free Museum Day Coming to Nearly 100 California Museums

What do a car museum, a history museum, a kids’ museum, art museum, music, maritime, botanic, fire, quilt, textiles, space, Chinese, lighthouse, natural science, zoo, military and railway museum have in common? They all are offering free admission on September 28, 2013, as participants in Smithsonian’s free museum day. Nearly 100 California museums have opted to particpate in the annual event in which the public is invited to go see a museum for free and have a great time. Here’s the list…but you need to double check for possible restrictions. Some are issuing tickets so they don’t overload their spaces and take away the fun. See: smithsonian.com/museumdaylive
