California Raises Irish Flag for St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

SAN FRANCISCO: On March 3rd at 11 a.m. Mayor Edwin Lee raised the Irish flag to celebrate Irish heritage and St. Patrick’s Day at City Hall. The 166th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival on March 11, 2017, is one of the city’s signature events with the festival taking place on the grounds around City Hall. For several weeks leading up to the St. Patrick’s Day City Hall is bathed in green lights at night — a sight to see! The free parade and festival include fantastic bands, revelry and San Francisco’s Irish hospitality.
