TEMPLETON, CALIF.– If you could step back in time to an old-fashioned place where Model T’s line Main Street and a free slice of pie (or cake) awaits all who drop by, you’d probably wonder, what’s the catch? There isn’t one. You don’t have to pay a dime, you’re not obligated to buy anything, and this special town along Highway 101 on the Central Coast is just being itself–warm and welcoming. At Templeton’s annual Founder’s Day on Saturday, November 1, 2014 there’s free pie or cake at the historical museum, cold beer from Firestone Walker Brewery (for a fee), tastes from the Rotary Chili Cook-off, vendors selling Christmas artisan gifts, and entertainment in the street . It’s an event that gets people to relax and appreciate the finer things in life. Give it a try!
