It’s the Year of the Snake!

The the Pacific Rim countries are as vast and diverse in cultures and languages as any can be, but when it comes to celebrating in the U.S., they come together and share one of their favorite times of the year — the Lunar New Year. Next weekend the annual Tet Festival takes place in Westminster and Garden Grove on February 8-10, 2013 in Garden Grove Park and all are invited. The event includes carnival rides, firecrackers and Dragon dancers, music on stage, games, food booths and a festive atmosphere.  Miss Vietnam of Southern California 2013 is selected in a pageant on Feb. 8 with gorgeous girls and women competing for the title and honors.  Cost of admission is $5 to the beauty pageant and all weekend events held at Garden Grove Park, 9301 Westminster Ave., Garden Grove, CA.
