Thanksgiving Feasts for Beasts

From a pumpkin smash to a feast for beasts, California zoos give their animals special treats on Thanksgiving and you’re invited to share in the holiday blessings.

While many zoos are simply open on Thanksgiving, several have made it a special holiday for both humans who visit and the creatures in their care. Here are few interesting activities we’ve uncovered to make November 28, 2019 special in a very unique way!

Thanksgiving at California Zoos

  • BAKERSFIELD: CALM Zoo Feast for the Beasts (day after Thanksgiving) November 29, 2019. Zoo is open every day.
  • BIG BEAR LAKE: Big Bear Alpine Zoo  open daily except for weather circumstances.
  • EUREKA: Sequoia Park Zoo open on Thanksgiving.
