The Broad Free Admission Art Museum Opens Late 2014 in L.A.

Expected to open in late 2014, funding comes from the couple pictured, Eli and Edythe Broad, lifelong philanthropists whose foundation assets total $2.6 billion.The new Broad museum’s innovative ‘vault-and-veil’ concept, a 120,000-square-foot, $140 million building features two floors of gallery space that also will provide enough room for the headquarters of The Broad Art Foundation’s worldwide lending library. Best of all–the museum has announced that no fee will be charged for admission! Eli Broad spent five decades building two Fortune 500 companies.
