UC Celebrates 50 Years of Ants and Slugs

Happy Birthday, UC Santa Cruz Banana Slug! and Happy Birthday, UC Irvine Anteater! Both California state universities were founded in 1965 and turn 50 in 2015. At UC Santa Cruz the “first-time-on-the-planet” Slug Parade and Expo in Downtown Santa Cruz takes place on October 25. At UC Irvine, home to Peter the Anteater, they’re celebrating the 50th with Anteater 5k Fun Run and Festival of Discovery on October 3. Both festivals are free, public invited. Read more…>
