If you didn’t get your package mailed by now, Santa’s your last hope in bringing Christmas miracles. The United States Postal Service said that there will be residual mail deliveries after Christmas, and some employees will deliver packages on Dec. 25. USPS beat its daily record this week (Monday, Dec. 22) with 28.2 million package deliveries.

Mail Trivia:

  • The Postal Service began receiving letters to Santa Claus and came up with a plan.  Letters to Santa program has been around for 100 years or more, accepting mail for Santa at the North Pole.
  • Hundreds of thousands of children of all ages send letters to “Santa Claus, North Pole, Alaska.” Unless these letters contain a complete Alaska address, they remain in the area they were mailed.
  • December 15, 2014 was the Postal Service’s busiest mailing day for holiday cards and packages, when more than 640 million pieces of mail were processed–112 million more than an average day.
  • You can schedule a free Package Pickup during regular delivery.
