Valentine’s Day = Dinner, Movie, Gondola

Don’t think about taxes or paying off the Christmas credit card bills right now. There’s someone out there expecting that you treat them special this weekend on Valentine’s Day — no negotiations. According to the National Retail Federation American’s are prepared to spend a record $19.7 billion on Valentine’s gifts. Close to 55% of consumers are celebrating to the tune of  $147, up $4.50 from a year ago. If you care to shop local there are a variety of unique film festivals, wineries serving dinners, chocolates and other special perks, gondola rides, boat cruises, plane rides and sports activities, plus and many festivals to celebrate what promises to be a fantastic weekend weather-wise.
