DANA POINT, CALIF. — Holidays are all about warmth. Though some seek frosty, snow escapes they still want to feel warm & fuzzy inside. A Dana Point “home away from home”  combines Southern California’s famously warm winters, soft-sand beaches, and a roster of events to satisfy Grinch. Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel invites one and all to come celebrate a beach-y holiday starting with the annual Surfing Santa Competition on Nov. 22, 2014. After watching or participating in the event at Salt Creek Beach, head up the hill to the resort to see dozens of uniquely painted and crafted surfboards you can bid on to raise funds for Surfers Healing, a foundation for autism.  That’s just the beginning of the fun holiday events lasting more than a month.

From the Christmas Tree Lighting to 40 Nights of Holidays Lights, the fun never stops. Be sure to see 23 miles of LED glowing lights strands decorating and entertaining visitors for free in a festival called IlluminOcean. If you need some “stoked” in your holiday celebrations, Dana Point is the “inn” place and must-“sea” attraction on and surrounding the Ritz-Carlton beach resort.
