What Whitney Houston Did Best – Sing About Romance

Published on: February 12, 2012

Whitney Houston, the top female musical artist ever,  died yesterday, Feb. 11, 2012, just three days short of Valentine’s Day and a day short of her appearance at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. She was found dead in a bathtub with her head submerged in the water after her hair stylist became concerned that Houston was in the bathroom too long. The female stylist waited to prepare her hair for a big pre-Grammy party a few floors down from Houston’s suite at the Beverly Hilton.

Though many believe an autopsy will show drug overdose or a bad reaction of pills and alcohol as a primary factor in  her drowning, Houston’s battle with drug problems in recent years will be forgotten as time passes and most will simply swoon to her beautiful songs. Like Karen Carpenter who died from problems related to an eating disorder, or Michael Jackson’s drug overdose and death, Houston will go down as another talent lost too soon, passing at the age of 48. Though Houston acted in a variety of movies, her music really steals the show. Her contributions to “love” are timeless, and unforgettable.
