Where is Your City Going On Vacation This Summer?

When you live in one of the most popular tourist destinations in America, it’s hard to take a break and go on vacation. However, cities in California are offering residents special trips and excursions to other places, just so they can escape paradise briefly. In our survey of Summer 2013 City Activities, here are some field trips, day trips, and escapes offered by municipalities and parks & recreation departments:

CONCORD: San Francisco Movie Tours, Calistoga and Greystone, Oakdale Chocolate Festival, Colusa Casino, Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco
HERMOSA BEACH: Oxnard Salsa Festival, Laguna Arts Festival & Pageant of the Masters, Catalina Island
