Wings Wheels Rotors One of California’s Last Autumn Air Shows

Published on: October 23, 2012

Fall typically brings an end to the air show season in California as the Blue Angels wrap up their schedule and the few remaining shows provide one last chance to celebrate flight. This weekend pilots will fly their “birds” into The Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base for the Sunday, October 28, 2012 extravaganza that includes classic cars, military craft and vintage planes. A free admission event, Wings Wheels Rotors Expo celebrates man’s innovation with flight demos, opportunities to climb aboard military vehicles, and stand next to shiny classic cars.  The event is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 11200 Lexington Drive in Los Alamitos. There’s free parking. Learn more at: wwrexpo.net .You can also call The Los Alamitos Chamber Of Commerce at: (562) 598-6659.

The following weekend the Jacqueline Cochran Air Show (jacquelinecochranairshow.org) is held in Riverside County on Novemer 3. And Blue Angels fans can be glad to know that the 2013 schedule has been announced.
