YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, CALIF. — A cast of 100 actors, audience of 300 finely-dressed guests, and 7-course meal fit for a king herald the Christmas season in a holiday tradition which premiered along with the opening of the historic Ahwahnee Hotel in 1927. Photographer Ansel Adams performed as The Jester — then became director — producing The Bracebridge Dinner for more than four decades till retiring in 1973.

Bay Area talent, Andrea Fulton (Andrea Fulton Productions, LLC,) has produced The Bracebridge Dinner since 1979. Having acted in the play as a youngster, her producer/father died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve 1979, leaving Andrea and her mom to take over production. Talk about “The Show Must Go On!” Can you imagine grieving the sudden death of your father while stepping into his shoes to assure ticket holders will not be disappointed? Fulton is one incredible lady who has grown the event to eight performances per season, added special touches, and plays the starring role of The Housekeeper.
