area, is less than 7 sq. miles in size, and is at 492 foot elevation. Alhambra
is a city in the County of Los Angeles and is located east of downtown L.A. Its
location south of the Angeles National Forest and mountain range that extends
some 40 miles or so through the Los Angeles area provides a backdrop of beauty
to the residential and commercial city. There are no beaches for over 40 miles
and the weather is Mediterranean, though approx 10 degrees warmer during summer
days, than the coastal cities.
Freeways include the I-10 and the 710
(Long Beach Freeway).
